It was with huge sadness that we said farewell to a highly respected colleague and friend, Phil James, last month. Phil had been with the company for 20 years and was known for his fantastic work ethic. He always wanted to do the best job possible and had extremely high standards and attention to detail in his work. His speciality was stripping and resealing floors and hard floor cleaning and he had a reputation for never taking short cuts and making team members re-do the job if it wasn’t up to his high standards.
Phil’s great sense of humour made him universally liked and other staff members often refer to him as ‘one in a million’. Phil was always willing to help his team in any way and was instrumental in training up many colleagues over the years. Despite being in his eighties his unstoppable energy and work drive made him a real example to all and he will be missed enormously. We all wish him a very happy (and well earned!) retirement to spend with his family.
