Gender Pay Gap Report

As an employer we always aim to provide good working lives with fair pay for all of our staff.  Regular monitoring and reporting of the Gender Pay Gap is part of this, highlighting the averages for men and women’s pay and comparing it, to highlight inequality with the aim of rectifying discrepancies.  The government requires companies with over 250 staff to report this annually.  Accordingly, ServiceMaster Clean By Deeland records our staff pay data annually in order to identify the average pay of men and women and look at the % gap.  Reporting annually is a good way of tracking the impact of recruitment, reward and progression decisions.

ServiceMaster Clean employs 66% more women than men, including more female managers. The gender pay gap fluctuates slightly each year but remains very small with a mean pay gap of 0.16%  and a median pay gap of 0% in 2024-2025.  The company gender pay gap is well below the UK norm – a fact of which we are very proud.  Both the mean bonus gap and median bonus gap were skewed in favour of women at -11.8% and -29.5% respectively.

Our organisation continues to monitor and address the pay of all staff. We have varied working hours in many of our roles which fit with family arrangements, and staff are encouraged to seek internal promotions.

Full time driving roles attract more male applicants, so we will aim to expand our resourcing avenues with a view to addressing this.

With our clients we work to establish rates that provide fair and equitable pay.  In line with the Equal Pay Act, there is no difference in the pay for men and women in the same or similar roles.  We will continue to monitor and report on the Gender Pay Gap on an annual basis.
